The Head is then inspected for cracks & pressure tested. All heads go through a three-step cleaning process which includes:ġ) Passing through a high temperature oven. Pistons are checked and Rings are then changed, Connecting Rods and Crankshaft are checked for tolerance specs.Įach cylinder head core is disassembled and inspected for broken bolts, stripped thread holes and broken mounting holes, etc. ![]() From this stage the Cylinder bores and pistons are checked for cracks and wear tolerances. The engine is stripped to bare components and put into a high pressure wash at high temperature with cleansing chemicals, this removes all carbon deposits and debris from previous failures.
